The AJF Center Stage Series returns to the Allentown Brew Works in 2016!
“The dedication that the Fegley family has shown to Allentown’s rebirth has been tremendous. The Brew Works was one of the first major businesses to open during Allentown’s revitalization, and it was also one of the earliest. The Allentown Brew Works was really the first major new investment along Hamilton Street, predating the PPL Arena complex by years. We were really eager to work with the good people at the Brew Works in our second season. The success of the November show proves that The Brew Works and the AJF actually make a lot of sense together.” said Bryan Tuk, the Executive Director and CEO of the Allentown JazzFest.
Performing Arts Live! Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that produces the Allentown JazzFest. For more information, please visit http://allentownjazzfest.org or email bryan@palive.org.

Historic Themed Steel Trap Trivia with Steven T. Bost
Meet former Brew Master Beau Baden, Beer Historian and Brewer Christopher Bowen, Fegley’s Brew Works head brewer Mike Wieboldt, and other members of the Fegley brewery team.
In the style of British Old Ales, smoked biscuit, floor malted, Maris Otter English Malts and Hops were used. Fire roasted barley and a special ingredient called Essentia Bina – think homemade molasses – were used in the brewing process. Check out Bowen’s Facebook Page for pictures of Essentia Bina – smoking the sugar, boiling over a fire for hours before setting the pot on fire, adding color and a peat like taste. ‘Old Ale’ is a somewhat sweet, rich and full bodied.
Christopher Bowen is an award-winning “Beer Historian, Master Brewer, Colonial & Victorian Era Brewing Re-Enactor and Beer Adventurist…” MORE
Beau Baden, a Scranton native, is an award-winning Brew Master who brewed for Fegley’s Allentown and Bethlehem Brew Works of Allentown and Bethlehem from 2005 until April 8th, 2016. Goundie’s Ale was one of his last brews for Fegley’s family owned and operated breweries.
It is with a heavy heart that we bid Beau farewell as he enters a new stage of his brewing career with Susquehanna Brewing Co. Beau will always be part of the Fegley Brew Works family…” Jeff Fegley, owner Fegley’s Brew Works MORE
Baden’s most recent awards while brewing for Fegley’s included a gold medal win for Arctic Alchemy and a bronze medal win for his Berliner Weisse at the Great American Beer Festival in 2014. Arctic Alchemy was brewed based on a recipe derived from Bowen. MORE

The 1810 Goundie House, built by Moravian town brewer and business man John Sebastian Goundie, is believed to be the first brick residence in Bethlehem and the first private home to reflect the new architectural American Federal style rather than the German Colonial style. Today, the Goundie House is a contributing property to the Historic Moravian Bethlehem National Historic Landmark District.” READ MORE

The limited release F.B.I.P.A. was brewed privately at Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works. When the story about this new Black IPA was leaked by an unknown source, it caused a frenzy, putting it on the Most Wanted List. Some feel that the F.B.I.P.A. should be under investigation for its unique flavor profile, however, bottles and kegs have already been sent to select locations and the beer is ready to be released on November 10th, 2016. There’s no stopping this wayward brew!
Stop by either of our locations on November 10th to investigate the F.B.I.P.A for yourself. From the first sip, you’ll see why this beer is already on the most wanted list. Get here early for the chance to steal some merchandise:
The F.B.I.P.A. will be available to purchase in 12 packs of 12 oz bottles, kegs and on draft at both of our locations.
Missing the release of this deceptively citrusy IPA is one crime you don’t want to commit.
