A solid, full flavor, medium bodied beer that is worthy of the family name, Fegley’s Amber Lager in Allentown is the sister beer to Fegley’s ESB in Bethlehem. On tap from the day Allentown Brew Works opened in 2007 as a flagship example of what we do best. Extended aging creates a brew that’s easy drinking and refreshing, with a slight caramel sweetness.
Artist Alex Clare and graphic designer Traci McGinty created the perfect label image for this beer. With reverence for the labors of the American worker, and hinting at the diversity in that workforce, the design captures a timeless strength. The art deco style and font are a nod to the great skyscrapers that were built with Bethlehem steel, including the PPL tower that rises over Allentown.
The 24-story Pennsylvania Power and Light Building, located across from the Allentown Brew Works, was designed and supervised by skyscraper pioneers H.W. Corbett and Wallace Harrison, who would go on to design Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, and the U.N. Headquarters among others. With the “world’s fastest elevator” at the time, it was named the “Best Example of a Modern Office Building” in 1930 by Encyclopedia Britannica.
Serve in a Pint Glass. Perfect across an array of cuisine from German to Latin American dishes - pork and poultry, grilled meats and vegetables. Try with meatballs and our short rib selections, or our bread pudding for dessert.
Pours a bold amber color, releasing an aroma of bread crust, dried fruits. A slightly sweet toasty malt is quickly balanced with a light hop bitterness. Lingering smoothness brings on flavors of brûléed sugar and tea.
Available on draft at Fegley's Allentown Brew Works.
