The Fegley family are hosting their 6th Annual Cask Beer Festival Saturday, March 19th 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at the Allentown Brew Works. The St. Patrick’s Day themed event will feature more than 40 cask and craft beer samples from dozens of breweries and meaderies offering guests a mix of casks, specialty brews you won’t find anywhere else, and some “scratch series” or craft beers slated to be released by breweries in the future.
The 2016 Cask Beer Festival will feature the largest selection of breweries and casks since it’s inception. Fegley’s Brewery Sales Manager Chris Fritzinger, who joined the team recently, took over the cask and brewery selection process and really wanted to “wow attendees with an incredible selection of casks beers and breweries”.
In addition to some terrific regional and national craft breweries, local favorites (and a peek at what they’ll be pouring) will include Cave Brewing’s Drew Hand Stout, HiJinx’s Far Darrig Irish Style Red Ale, Two Rivers’ Key Lime Berliner Weisse, Weyerbacher’s Pirate A’Peel DIPA #2, Funk Brewery and the Colony Meaderies Towbeedog Hopped Mead. Allentown Brew Works will be pouring their Black Session IPA with loads of hop character and a light roasted flavor. Bethlehem Brew Works will be pouring Archie’s Funky Farmhouse, a brett fermented beer with tons of fruity aroma.
Additionally, Fegley’s ‘beer leprechaun’ mascot will be handing out samples of two time Great American Beer Festival award-winning Bagpiper’s Scotch Ale. Guests will enjoy competing in the Puttle Golf Championships and watching the O’Grady Quinlan School of Irish Dance. A two hour buffet service will take place featuring Celtic favorites. There will be a one hour, limited admission VIP session prior to the event for attendees to speak with the brewers with less of a crowd and butlered hors d’oeuvres.
