Yesterday Fegley’s Brew Works celebrated the kickoff of Lehigh Valley Beer Week with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Official Tapping of LVBW3 Imperial IPA at Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works. Today they continue the celebration by tapping LVBW3 at Fegley’s Bethlehem Brew Works location.
The winning Imperial IPA from our ‘Be our brewer for a day’ contest and the official beer of Lehigh Valley Beer Week was brewed collaboratively by homebrewer Jim Yergey and Fegley’s brewery. This strong IPA has a big citrus front end, a good malty middle and plenty of bitterness in the finish. – 9.5% ABV, 1.088OG, 93 IBU
Fegley’s Brew Works has more than a dozen craft beer centric events planned for the week 2/15 to 2/22. Specifically, two limited reserve beers will be tapped this evening at 5pm at both Brew Works locations.
TAPPED 2/16, 5pm at Allentown Brew Works – Fegley’s Funky Monkey blended with Peach Wheat and brewed with brett wild yeast. Aged for more than 2 years. 6% ABV, 1.070 OG, 25 IBU
TAPPED 2/16, 5pm at Bethlehem Brew Works – Worn out from its sweet 16 party, our wheatwine hibernated in Four Roses bourbon barrels for months, awakened just in time for Lehigh Valley Beer Week. A brew with essence of caramel and toffee, mixing with vanilla and bourbon from the oak casks. 9% ABV, 1.098 OG, 100 IBU
