Richter's West End Red released in Allentown with 70 IBUs

Richter’s West End Red is our new release and it is deep red in color with a sweet malt flavor and a fragrant hop aroma of pine and grapefruit. West End Red weighs in at 5.7%abv with 70 IBU’s of bitterness.
What’s an IBU?
International Bittering Unit
A scale used to measure the bitterness of a beer. an IBU is one part per million of Isohumulone, an acid derived from the hop. The higher the IBU number the bigger the bite at the back of the tongue.

Examples:

American Pilseners (bud, miller, coors) 12-15 IBU’s
Pale Ale (ABW Copper Kettle, Sierra nevada) 30-50 IBU’s
IPA (ABW Hop Explosion, Russian River, Weyerbacher) 50-120 IBU’s
Porter ( ABW Pawn Shop Porter, Deschutes, Anchor) 25-40 IBU’s
