Wild Fox Farm launched The Footprint Campaign on Earth Day – April 22, 2016.
You can check out the video and learn more about The Footprint Campaign here: http://bit.ly/
The primary goal of the campaign is to reduce the farm’s carbon footprint by transitioning to a rooftop solar array and an efficient walk in cooler. Such sustainable methods come with a price tag though, so we’re teaming up with Barnraiser (like Kickstarter, but for farms/food) to make it happen, hosting a launch party to celebrate the start of a great adventure, and looking to our friends and family for support.
There are a variety of ways to show your support for the campaign, which will run April 22 through June 24. They include:
VISIT – Fegley’s Brew Works (Allentown) April 25 to celebrate the campaign launch.
DONATE – every amount helps, from $5.00 to $500.00.
SHARE – tell your family and friends.
LIKE – Wild Fox Farm on Facebook & Instagram.
CONNECT – for more tips on how to help, email thewildfoxfarm@gmail.com.
The beauty of sustainable growing is at work on Wild Fox Farm, but we need your help to bring the power of sustainable energy to life. Let’s do this!
Thank you.

On Cinco De Mayo the Lehigh Valley Whalers look forward to raising a pint in support of the Polar Bears of Special Hockey of the Lehigh Valley.
Since June of 2006, the entire proceeds of the Bethlehem Brew Works first Thursday’s “CHARITY CASK NIGHT” has been donated to a local non-profit organization. Better still, the non-profit recipient has the opportunity to present literature and banners, and have representatives on hand for an informal Q&A and info-session about their community work.
A craft brewery draws its character and strength from its community, but it can also give back to the community and help create positive change. That’s the idea behind this series of benefit events that take place at the Bethlehem Brew Works every 1st Thursday of the month.
Our head brewer offers a hand pumped, cask-conditioned ale from a 10-gallon barrel called a firkin. A firkin is a small keg, holds about 9 gallons or so of cask-conditioned, 50°F beer. The cask, or firkin, is always a special, one-of-a-kind beer connoisseur’s treat. It is available only until it runs dry, which could be just hours (or less) after it’s tapped.
Open up your senses to the hop and malt flavors released by drinking a beer from a hand-drawn firkin served at a respectable temperature. Our brewers then work their magic to give each cask its own special character.

On February 18th, 2016 at Bethlehem Brew Works, Beer Historian & Brewer Christopher Bowen and award-winning Brew Master Beau Baden brewed “Goundie’s Old Monocacy Ale”, an English Style Old Ale derived from a historic recipe circa 1815. The beer was brewed in honor of city of Bethlehem’s 275th Anniversary!
The historic brew will be officially tapped at 6pm at the main bar at Bethlehem Brew Works. A limited amount of commemorative 750ml corked & caged bottles and gift packs – perfect for Father’s Day Gift giving – will be available for purchase at the brewery.

Meet former Brew Master Beau Baden, Beer Historian and Brewer Christopher Bowen, Fegley’s Brew Works head brewer Mike Wieboldt, and other members of the Fegley brewery team.
In the style of British Old Ales, smoked biscuit, floor malted, Maris Otter English Malts and Hops were used. Fire roasted barley and a special ingredient called Essentia Bina – think homemade molasses – were used in the brewing process. Check out Bowen’s Facebook Page for pictures of Essentia Bina – smoking the sugar, boiling over a fire for hours before setting the pot on fire, adding color and a peat like taste. ‘Old Ale’ is a somewhat sweet, rich and full bodied.
Christopher Bowen is an award-winning “Beer Historian, Master Brewer, Colonial & Victorian Era Brewing Re-Enactor and Beer Adventurist…” MORE
Beau Baden, a Scranton native, is an award-winning Brew Master who brewed for Fegley’s Allentown and Bethlehem Brew Works of Allentown and Bethlehem from 2005 until April 8th, 2016. Goundie’s Ale was one of his last brews for Fegley’s family owned and operated breweries.
It is with a heavy heart that we bid Beau farewell as he enters a new stage of his brewing career with Susquehanna Brewing Co. Beau will always be part of the Fegley Brew Works family…” Jeff Fegley, owner Fegley’s Brew Works MORE
Baden’s most recent awards while brewing for Fegley’s included a gold medal win for Arctic Alchemy and a bronze medal win for his Berliner Weisse at the Great American Beer Festival in 2014. Arctic Alchemy was brewed based on a recipe derived from Bowen. MORE

The 1810 Goundie House, built by Moravian town brewer and business man John Sebastian Goundie, is believed to be the first brick residence in Bethlehem and the first private home to reflect the new architectural American Federal style rather than the German Colonial style.

Everyone is invited to join Pastor Eric Yeakel at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Brew Works in Allentown for our theological discussion forum called “Brewology.”
There will be a specific room designated for these gatherings within the restaurant. The gatherings are open to our congregation members as well as the community. Pastor Eric is hoping to engage in conversation with many non-churched and nominally-churched people who have various perspectives on matters of faith. We will get the conversations started with some broad theological questions but feel free to bring your own questions.
Bring a friend, pull up a chair, and be ready to engage with people of varying religious traditions, philosophical perspectives and life experiences. You’ll be able to share your own thoughts and struggles while maybe learning something new along the way.
The remaining dates in 2017 are:

Asbury Church is located at 1533 Springhouse Rd., Allentown, PA, 18104. For more information about Asbury Church, go to asburylv.org.
